My Photography Journey
Hi, my name is Aaron Savard, and I’m a photographer. The beginning of my photography journey started out with my friend, Chad. He was always the one to let me tag along on shoots or lend me a camera to play around with. Everything he did pushed me and challenged me to be better at what I consider to be the thing I want to do for the rest of my life. Although I didn't become good right away, like most photographers, over time I started to see the results of my hidden talent. Once I really got the hang of everything, I decided to enroll in a photography course at one of the local colleges, just to see where it would take me.
Above all my efforts, however, what really kicked off my photography was a special someone who walked into my life as of recently. She really pushed me, really drove me to do what I loved. More than anyone else. She even taught me a few things while she was at it. But the whole point of me being a photographer is two reasons:
1. My want has always been to view the world from a different perspective, and what better way to do that than through the perspective of a lens?
2. So I could tell a story through every photo I took. So I could inspire and motivate others, like the people who got me started in the first place did. So I could maybe, just maybe, make someone’s day better.
As I'm ending this, I just want to say that being a photographer isn’t as easy, the photos you take will not always come out perfect or just the way you want it every time. But once you get that feeling, that experience of taking the perfect photo, nothing in the world feels better-- especially since it’s such a perfect story, and you’re the one who gets to tell it.
